To celebrate this year’s National Apprenticeship Week theme of ‘Skills for Life’ we interviewed our very own apprentice, Madison Dickinson who has been completing a Digital Marketing apprenticeship over the last two years and has now progressed to become an Executive.
- What made you want to do an apprenticeship?
I wanted to do an apprenticeship because I really enjoyed doing marketing courses and have previously volunteered at a care home. As I have previously volunteered in a care home before, I knew that working within the field of marketing would be ideal for me as the care industry is something that I am very passionate about.
- What skills have you learnt throughout your apprenticeship?
Throughout my apprenticeship, I have had the opportunity to get involved with many different marketing tasks, such as helping with SEO, doing design work and posting on socials. I also really enjoy interviewing and speaking to different Service Managers about good news stories as well as writing them up for the website. This is because I love to hear all of the amazing things my colleagues and the people we support do because it makes me proud to work for the company.
- How has your time at Keys Group helped you to grow throughout your apprenticeship?
Since working at Keys Group, I have gained my confidence as I have continued to develop my communication skills and my people skills. I have been at Accomplish for over a year, and now working under Keys Group I feel that I have expanded my knowledge of the care sector and the different types of support we have to offer. I have further developed the ability to work well with a team yet also I am able to use my own initiative when working independently. Being able to get involved with many different marketing tasks at Keys Group has allowed me to really show my creative side and do things in a different way when it comes to planning marketing campaigns and running initiatives.
- What does the future look like for you?
By working at Keys Group, it allows me to gain both knowledge and experience within marketing and within the care sector as I continue to develop my skills. I hope to complete my apprenticeship and get more involved with releasing press releases to share all the amazing things we achieve as a with others.
