Families and staff at Keys’ newest family assessment centre were recently joined by a VIP guest for a very special celebration event to mark its opening.
Rosavilla, in Brierley Hill, Dudley Borough, is Keys’ fourth family assessment centre. The centre’s team and families supported at the service were delighted to welcome local MP Mike Wood, who represents Dudley South, along with other invited guests as it officially opened its doors.
Mike, and other invited guests including local health visitors, neighbours, ward councillors, commissioners and referrers, all enjoyed a tour of Rosavilla, which can support nine families. Mike was also invited to conduct a special “ribbon cutting” to mark the centre’s official opening.
Rosavilla offers residential support for parents and families who may need additional support with parenting including people with a learning disability or mental health needs. It offers fully accessible support including accessible en-suite bedroom and kitchen spaces and also offers spaces which are suitable for families with an older child as well as a younger baby.
Regional Manager Amanda Pomell said: “We were delighted Mike could join us for this very special day. Our aim for Rosavilla is that it will support local parents and families in a high quality, safe and welcoming place which is not too far away from their existing support networks and familiar people and places. We’re looking forward to being part of the local community.”
Mike added: “I would like to thank the team at Rosavilla for the invitation to officially open this fantastic facility which I know will provide a much welcomed resource for the local community and further afield.”
