DATA recently published by regulator Ofsted has highlighted that across the country, there are 2,007 residential children’s homes. The national average for services rated good or outstanding across all providers is 77%.
Across England, Keys supports children and young people in 108 residential children’s homes making the organisation the third largest provider in the country. Keys currently have 92% of our homes rated as good or above – with 12% rated as outstanding.
This demonstrates the consistently high quality of care provided by Keys Group in its residential children’s homes, with inspection outcomes 15% higher than the national average in England.
Pauline Paterson, Director of Quality at Keys, said: “Providing excellent quality care is our absolute focus. We take the responsibility of providing care for vulnerable children incredibly seriously, and closely monitoring the quality of that care is vitally important.
“As an organisation we carefully monitor quality in the context of our own organisational standards, regulatory standards and best practice in the wider sector.
“While the number of our homes which are rated as good or outstanding are much higher than the national average – and stand as well-deserved testament to the hard work and devotion of our teams – we are always striving for each and every one of our homes to be rated as outstanding. That is our goal and quality is always our main focus.”
“Where we have homes that require improvement, improving those is a constant focus for us. We have clear plans to imbed sustainable solutions to ensure our children and young people are cared for in high quality, nurturing and safe homes.”
