It is with pleasure that we announce today the merger of leading adult specialist residential and supported living provider Accomplish Group with Keys Group, one of the country’s largest providers of specialist education and care for children and young people.
As a combined organisation we will provide specialist support and education for more than 2,000 children, young people, adults and families in services and schools across England and Wales.
The merger will see the organisation operate three distinct divisions including:
Adult Residential – this will include all of the current adult residential homes currently run by Accomplish.
Independent Living and Activity services – this will include the Accomplish supported living services and Keys leaving care services, adult day centre, activity centres and activity homes.
Children’s Residential and Education – this division will operate all the residential homes (including family assessment) and schools currently run by Keys.
Mel Ramsey, the current CEO of Accomplish, will take up the role of Non-Executive Director on the newly formed combined board of the merged organisation and will also become an operating partner for G Square, who own both Accomplish and Keys.
David Manson, the current CEO of Keys Group will become the CEO of the combined organisation. Both Accomplish and Keys will retain their individual brand identities for the foreseeable future.
Speaking about the merger, he said: “These two organisations are a very good fit and we share a culture and values which are closely aligned.
“There are already synergies and similarities in the services we provide and bringing the two organisations together will benefit the people we support as well as colleagues across both Groups.
“The combination of Keys and Accomplish creates not just an additional wealth of expertise but also a natural pathway for the people supported by Keys to move into specialist high quality adult care, where it is appropriate for them, more easily. It will enable both organisations to benefit from each other’s investments over the last five years and to accelerate progress for both.
“Across both Accomplish and Keys, everyone shares the ambition to always provide the very best care and support possible every day, whether directly or in a support role. Now as a combined organisation I know that we all share – and will continue to share – the same aim; that no matter what part of the organisation we work within, we will always do our very best for the people we support and strive to make a positive difference in their lives.”
